My Journey: From Marine to entrepreneur

I’m Waco Merchant. I spent years in the U.S. Marine Corps learning that systems win battles. Now, I build the funnel systems that help entrepreneurs win in business.

I grew up in rural Montana on a working ranch, where hard work, discipline, and responsibility weren’t optional—they were a way of life.

I was raised in a family with a strong military tradition. With my father serving in the Navy and my stepfather in the Army’s 82nd Airborne, service was something I always respected. At 18, I chose to follow that path and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

In the Corps, we didn't just 'try' things—we executed systems. I realized most businesses don't have a traffic problem; they have a system problem. I founded Waco Merchant Funnel Systems to bring military-grade precision to the world of digital marketing.

Forged in the Marines

The Marine Corps gave me structure, purpose, and a standard of excellence that still drives me today.

I served during Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope, experiences that tested me, shaped me, and taught me what it means to lead, adapt, and push forward no matter the circumstances.

I earned meritorious promotions and eventually left the Marines as a Sergeant—but more importantly, I left with a mindset built on discipline, accountability, and resilience.

Building a Life After the Military

After my time in the Marines, I transitioned into the precast concrete industry, where I spent over a decade building, moving, and managing operations across Southern California.

It was a different kind of challenge—but the same principles applied: show up, do the work, and lead from the front.

I bring that same "Marine’s Marine" intensity to your business. When I look at a sales funnel, I don’t just see a website—I see a mission-critical system. If one gear is out of alignment, the whole mission is at risk.

Most businesses don’t have a traffic problem—they have a system problem. I’m here to build the system that ensures no lead is left behind.

Today, I’m an entrepreneur and the founder of Waco Merchant Funnel Systems.

I help business owners simplify and strengthen the way they grow—but at the core of it, what I really do is help people make better decisions, gain clarity, and build something that works for them and their future.

Service Beyond Business

When I'm not scaling businesses, I'm helping fellow veterans find clarity underwater. My passion for scuba diving stems from its unique ability to create space for presence and intentional focus. Through personal experience overcoming service-connected injuries and PTSD, I've discovered that diving—and mentoring disabled veterans—provides both healing and purpose. This commitment to service beyond business reflects my core values.

In My community

Service didn’t stop when I left the Marines—it evolved. I worked with veterans through the WAVES Project, helping connect them to scuba diving experiences that bring clarity, healing, and purpose. I also serve as: President and Firefighter for the St. Ignatius Mission Fire Department, Sergeant at Arms for American Legion Post 106, Honor Guard and Elders Quorum President in my church. Giving back and being there for others is a core part of who I am.

St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department serves the local community with roughly 22 firefighters, covering the area from the Mission Range base to surrounding highways. Volunteers respond with fire suppression and emergency medical calls.

What I Believe

I believe challenges are opportunities for profound transformation—and that growth emerges from how we consciously respond. I live by the principle that thoughts are things. What you deliberately focus on, you manifest into reality. I believe in building discipline, staying focused, and continually striving for excellence. Above all, I believe in being a blessing to others through intentional service, meaningful action, and visionary leadership. When I'm not working, I dedicate precious time to my family and beloved pets—for they represent life's greatest treasures. I believe water is nature's most exquisite healing substance, and its transformative power has captivated my soul throughout my life. I equally cherish quality moments with loved ones, maintaining peak physical vitality, and experiencing continuous growth across every dimension of my being.
